Our Board of Directors

Jacqueline Kelleher, Past President 

​

Jaci is a partner at the Stafford Owens Law Firm, as well as the Clinton County Attorney.  After growing up in South Jersey and spending just over a decade in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jaci has happily called the North Country home since 2000.  Jaci has served on the boards of directors of other area not for profits, including United Way, Hudson Headwaters Foundation, Mountain Lake PBS, and the YMCA.  She enjoys cooking, canoeing, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. 

                                      

Peter Stone,  President 

   

Peter is married and retired. Taught secondary English and computer applications; current Lake Forest board member (since 2013); current AARP Tax-Aide volunteer (since 2013); current Town of Peru planning board member; Rehoboth Homestead (CSA) volunteer (since 2011). Regular pursuits: lap swimming, playing bridge, and solving pangrams.            

 

Catherine Keleher, Vice President

​

Catherine is the Executive Director of College Auxiliary Services, a nonprofit serving SUNY Plattsburgh. She has a background in management, dining services, capital projects, property management, business development, marketing and communications.  Catherine is a proud Plattsburgh native with a strong commitment to the community. In addition to Lake Forest, she serves as a board member for the Plattsburgh College Foundation and as an advisor to one of SUNY Plattsburgh's sororities, Alpha Phi. She also served as an elder for the governing body of the First Presbyterian Church. Catherine's beloved grandparents are Lake Forest residents. She resides in Plattsburgh with her husband and two sons.

Lauren Tyler, Treasurer   

​

Lauren is the Chief Financial Officer at Hospice of the North Country. Prior to joining Hospice in 2016, Lauren worked as a Financial Advisor at a local insurance agency. Lauren is passionate about giving back to her local community and has been a member of the Plattsburgh Lions Club for 10 years. During her time in the club, she has held the role of President and Secretary numerous times. Lauren has been on the Lake Forest Board since 2021, currently serving as Treasurer of the board. Lauren was born and raised in Plattsburgh and attended Plattsburgh State University, where she obtained bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Finance. Lauren resides in Plattsburgh with her soon-to-be husband and two rescue dogs. In her free time, she can be found doing one of many outdoor activities that allow her to soak up the beautiful scenery the Adirondacks has to offer.

Dana Jeweler, Secretary

   

Dana, Secretary, is Operations Manager in Human Resources/Learning and Development at UVM Health Network-CVPH.  She is a graduate of both Clinton Community College and Plattsburgh State University majoring in English and Education.  She is the daughter of former Lake Forest Resident, Harriet Jeweler. Dana serves on many community committees: Clinton County Coalition to Prevent Suicide; Evening of Healing: Stories of Strength; Vinspire: Informing and Inspiring the North Country; and most recently the You Matter: The 988 Community Mural Committee with Plattsburgh Outside Art.  She and her partner live in Plattsburgh.  Her three children are married with children, and they all live in the area.

Maureen Ryan, Member at Large

​

Maureen is the director of Physical Therapy  at Meadowbrook Healthcare where she has enjoyed a healthcare career for over 38 years. She is a Plattsburgh native and vested in the North Country. She serves on the advisory board of alumni for Ithaca College Physical Therapy Mentorship program and is active in St Johns Church and Altar Rosary Society. She has been on the Lake Forest board for 6 years. A graduate of Ithaca College, she and her husband Tom reside in Plattsburgh. Interests include gardening, travel to Ireland,  basketball and spending time with her three children and family.

                       

Deb Sherman, Member at Large

​

Deborah is a lifelong resident of the North Country. She has a degree in chemistry from SUNY Plattsburgh and is retired after a thirty-three-year career in Research and Development at Wyeth/Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.

Deborah served as a board member at Seton Catholic, and the Clinton County Canine Club as well as a member of the St. Johns Parish Council. Her parents became part of the Lake Forest Community in 2019, and her mom continues to live there today. She and her husband Greg have two children, three grandchildren and a black lab puppy named Olive.

Maria Alexander

​

Maria is the Executive Director at the Senior Citizens Council of Clinton Co., Inc. She has been in her position for fifteen years. Prior to SCCCC she worked at JCEO-Joint Council for Economic Opportunities of Clinton and Franklin Counties, Inc. for 20 years.  She worked in several programs, with the last being Director of the Senior Outreach Program/Big Buddy Program.  She has spent all her career working in the not-for-profit world. She is a member of Plattsburgh Noon Rotary and Past- President, Past President of the JCEO board and current board member, board member of Hospice of the North Country, Past President of NCAVI (North Country Assoc. of the Visually impaired), Past President of the Samuel F. Vilas Home Board of Trustees, GSNEY past member Women of Distinction Committee, and current member of the Keeseville Elks Lodge. She is married to her husband Ray and have one beautiful granddaughter, Maggie.

Jared Burns

​

Jared Burns is a Financial Advisor and Partner at Donlan Wealth Management, a local financial advisory practice. After spending a few years in Boston, MA, Jared moved back to the area in 2011 to open a photography business with his wife. In 2016, he joined Donlan Wealth Management. Jared is a past president and board member of the Senior Citizens Council of Clinton County and the Adirondack Young Professionals. He has also served as a board member for the Strand Center for the Arts and is a current member of the Plattsburgh Noon Rotary. In his free time, he coaches youth lacrosse for the Plattsburgh Lacrosse Club. He is a graduate of Plattsburgh State, Jared resides in Plattsburgh with his wife and three children.

Rylee Fesette

​

Rylee is a full-time real estate professional at Fesette Realty with a degree in Business Administration, concentrating in management and finance, from Ithaca College. Since obtaining her real estate license, she has been dedicated to helping clients confidently navigate the market. Her passion for community involvement and teamwork stems from her athletic background, having played soccer, basketball, and tennis throughout high school at Beekmantown. In the summer, you can find her on the lake, a soccer field, or tennis court, and in the winter, skiing at Whiteface Mountain, working out in the gym, or traveling with family.

Jim Langley

 

Jimmy is the owner of Langley Insurance in Peru.  He has been a Clinton County resident for over 50 years.  MAI and Canton Graduate.  Former Clinton County Legislator, Town of Peru Board, Peru Planning Board  and Clinton County Planning Board Member.  Regular pursuits, exercising, home remodeling, skiing ( water and snow) and property maintenance.  Favorite thing, spending time with his four Grandchildren.

Rick Larche

​

Rick is the Facilities Engineer and Project Supervisor at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, NY. He oversees outside contractors working on capital construction projects, as well as supervises an in-house construction crew working on several smaller projects and renovations within the hospital. He has served in this role since late 2022. Prior to working at CVPH, Rick worked at SUNY Plattsburgh from 2010-2022 as a Capital Project Manager overseeing all construction within the academic buildings on the college campus.  Rick started his career in 2001 with NYS Office of General Services as a structural design engineer within their Division of Design followed by years of experience within the Division of Construction as an Engineer-in-Charge working throughout the Clinton and Franklin County areas. Rick has a BS in Mathematics from Siena College, and a BS and ME in Civil Engineering from Clarkson University. Rick grew up in Dannemora, NY, and now lives in Rouses Point, NY. He enjoys taking hikes, canoeing, working out, and practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
